The NAU Outdoor Program brings you a weekend AWLS conference "to learns the skills to prevent medical problems, reduce suffering and save lives in non-traditional medical settings."

The AWLS Program focuses on treatment of the most common injuries and
illnesses encountered making the AWLS certification the standard in the
medical industry for wilderness medicine. The course offers intensive practical skills teaching in addition to workshops that will concentrate on hiking, biking,rafting and climbing injuries. These workshops are designed to further refine your wilderness medicine skills.
The conference is being held at the Dubois Center and NAU Forestry Building on the South Campus of NAU. The outdoor teaching will be conducted in the nearby forest.
