Adirondack Park, NY
September 12 - September 15
The Adirondacks in NY are the perfect backdrop for a fall Advanced Wilderness Life Support Course. With over 500 acres of secluded and private forest including a large lake for canoeing and fire pit to discuss our days achievement, the setting cannot be beat. Earn your AWLS certification and 20.5 hours of CME while meeting new friends. Food and lodging are included in the course fee, so show up, sit-back and relax. We will have time to practice our scenarios while hiking around the lake and exploring an old Iron Ore furnace on the property.
Our AWLS curriculum is a mix of didactic and hands-on wilderness medicine training, building the skills to handle a variety of emergencies in austere environments. Our curriculum is developed specifically for medical professionals, guaranteeing a high-caliber level of wilderness medical instruction. Students will bolster their pre-existing medical knowledge with the latest techniques in patient assessment, treatment, and evacuation from remote, wilderness areas.
With the Advanced Wilderness Life Support certification students earn 20.5 hours of Category 1 CME, as well as Wilderness Medical Society Fellowship credit.
