Wilderness Medicine CME – Adirondack Park, NY
The Adirondacks in NY are the perfect backdrop for a fall Advanced Wilderness Life Support Course. With over 500 acres of secluded and private forest including a large lake for canoeing and a fire pit to discuss our day’s achievement, the setting cannot be beaten. Earn your AWLS certification and 20.5 hours of CME while meeting new friends. Food and lodging are included in the course fee, so show up, sit back and relax. We will have time to practice our scenarios while hiking around the lake and exploring an old Iron Ore furnace on the property.

This 3-day course balances didactic lectures with hands-on instruction to most effectively train students in managing medical situations in austere environments. This course is designed for licensed medical professionals (MD, EMT, PA, NP, RN, etc) or medical professionals in training who have an interest in expanding their medical knowledge of wilderness medical pathology and in enhancing their practical skills in a wilderness environment.
With the Advanced Wilderness Life Support certification students earn 20.5 hours of Category 1 CME, as well as Wilderness Medical Society Fellowship credit.
