Wilderness Medicine CME – Golden, CO

Join us in Golden, CO for a special AWLS course hosted at the American Mountaineering Center. This course will cover the standard AWLS curriculum, plus provide access to an amazing resource on the history of climbing in America. After class, escape to the wonderful recreation Golden has to offer, including world-class biking and climbing, breweries museums, and more!

Course Description:

The AWLS curriculum consists of:

This 3-day course balances didactic lectures with hands-on instruction to most effectively train students in managing medical situations in austere environments. This course is designed for licensed medical professionals (MD, EMT, PA, NP, RN, etc) or medical professionals in training who have an interest in expanding their medical knowledge of wilderness medical pathology and in enhancing their practical skills in a wilderness environment.

CME Credit:

With the Advanced Wilderness Life Support certification students earn 20.5 hours of Category 1 CME, as well as Wilderness Medical Society Fellowship credit.
