Mountains that led to the creation of Grand Teton National Park where you can explore over two hundred miles of trails, float the Snake River, or enjoy the serenity of this remarkable place. The town of Jackson, with its Elk Antler arched central square and plank sidewalks, offers a taste of the old west with a variety of excellent restaurants, art galleries, and shops.
Our AWLS curriculum is a mix of didactic and hands-on wilderness medicine training, building the skills to handle a variety of emergencies in austere environments. Our curriculum is developed specifically for medical professionals, guaranteeing a high-caliber level of wilderness medical instruction. Students will bolster their pre-existing medical knowledge with the latest techniques in patient assessment, treatment, and evacuation from remote, wilderness areas.
With the Advanced Wilderness Life Support certification students earn 20.5 hours of Category 1 CME, as well as Wilderness Medical Society Fellowship credit.
