Join us in Moab for our exciting new Hybrid format AWLS course! After completing the didactic component of the course via 12 online modules, participants will gather in Moab, just outside beautiful Arches and Canyonlands National Parks for two days of hands on practical skills to put the skills they have learned to the test. Class will consist of two 8 hour skills days, and the course will result in a total of 24.5 AMA PRA Cat 1 CME credits, 4 more credits than a traditional AWLS course!
The AWLS Hybrid course is an exciting new format that we are very excited to bring to Moab. Following the completion of Online Modules which user’s can complete from home at their own pace, participants will gather in person for the in person component of class. There will be a review of the materials covered online, and then we will dive into the hands on! Participants will have opportunities to practice and get feedback on bandaging, improvised splinting, and litter building before putting these new skills to the test in scenarios representative of real wilderness medicine cases. This format will allow the group to focus the majority of their time on hands on learning, which will be conducted outside.
